Alloway, is situated on the B7024 just south of Ayr of which it is a suburb. The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Burns cottage (where he was born), the Memorial gardens and Monument are worth a visit. Also here are the ruins of Alloway Kirk and the 13th century Brig o Doon bridge over the river Doon.
